Mr. Marc Seguin – New Executive Director for CBSA


August 15, 2022 – CBSA is pleased to announce Mr. Marc Seguin as the Executive Director for Canadian Blinds Sports Association.
Marc brings with over 20 years experience in sport and recreation leadership positions, intergovernmental relations, a strong background in fundraising, financial management, facility development, and direct support to sport and recreation organizations.

Following his Sport Management Degree from Brock University, Marc has held positions with Athletes Can, Province of Ontario – Sport and Recreation and has worked on high-performance programs and events such as the 2015 Pan AM Games, Ontario’s “Quest for Gold” Athlete Assistance Program and multiple sets of Multi-Sport Games. Marc loves to volunteer and is currently the Volunteer Chair of Sport Venues for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, as well as being a member of the 2023 Team Nova Scotia Canada Games Mission Team.

“After an extensive search, the CBSA Board of Directors welcomes Marc Seguin to our organization. Marc has the experience and expertise needed to successfully guide the organization into the next phase of growth and we are excited to begin this collaborative journey”, said Launel Scott, CBSA President. CBSA thanks Robin Witty, from Sport Law, for her role as Interim Executive Director from April to August 2022 while CBSA transitioned to the revised structure.

Marc will begin his new position as Executive Director with the Canadian Blind Sports on September 6 2022.

The Canadian Blind Sports Association is the recognized national sport organization for the Paralympic Sport of Goalball, and advocates within the sport system for Canadians who are visually impaired or blind. More information can be found at www.canadianblindsports.ca.
