CBSA is pleased to announce that the 2026 Junior National Goalball Championships, hosted by the Ontario Blind Sports Association, will take place from April 24 to 26, 2026, at the W. Ross Macdonald School for the Blind in Brantford, Ontario.
We look forward to welcoming junior Goalball teams from across Canada for a weekend of development, competition, and community.

The Canadian Blind Sports Association is pleased to announce that the 2026 CBSA Senior National Goalball Championships will take place in Richmond, BC, from May 15 to 17, 2026.
The event will be hosted by BC Blind Sports and Recreation Association as part of the ACHIEVE stream of the inaugural OneAbility Games, a multi-sport, multi-disability event providing participation and performance sport opportunities for persons with disabilities.
“CBSA is happy to see our Senior Nationals back in BC for the first time since 2017. We’re excited by the opportunity to share our sport with a wider audience through inclusion in the OneAbility Games,” said CBSA President Philip Schuman.
“BC Blind Sports is excited to host the Senior National Goalball Championships, welcoming provincial teams to showcase high-performance Goalball, a sport uniquely designed for athletes who are blind or partially sighted,” said BC Blind Sports Program Manager Susan Grenon.
“OneAbility Games is thrilled to showcase Goalball as an ACHIEVE sport at our inaugural event,” stated Andrea Carey, Director of Games. “Through the Games, we are working to support our sport partners by reducing the costs and barriers of hosting their events, and to raise awareness of disability sports through these annual multi-sport, multi-disability and multi-age games.”
The Championships will be held at J.N. Burnett Secondary School in Richmond and will include Men’s and Women’s teams from across Canada.
L’Association canadienne des sports pour aveugles (ACSA) est heureuse d’annoncer que les Championnats nationaux seniors de goalball 2026 de l’ACSA auront lieu à Richmond, Colombie-Britannique, du 15 au 17 mai 2026.
Les championnats seront organisés par BC Blind Sports and Recreation Association dans le cadre du volet ACHIEVE des premiers Jeux OneAbility, un événement multisports et multihandicap qui propose des épreuves de participation et performance dans une gamme de sports pour les personnes handicapées.
« La CBSA est heureuse de voir nos championnats nationaux seniors revenir en Colombie-Britannique pour la première fois depuis 2017. Nous sommes ravis de pouvoir faire découvrir notre sport à un public plus large grâce à notre participation aux OneAbility Games », a déclaré Philip Schuman, président de la CBSA.
« BC Blind Sports est ravi d’accueillir les championnats nationaux seniors de goalball et d’accueillir les équipes provinciales qui présenteront le goalball de haut niveau, un sport spécialement conçu pour les athlètes aveugles ou malvoyants », a déclaré Susan Grenon, responsable du programme BC Blind Sports.
« OneAbility Games est ravi de présenter le goalball comme l’un des sports ACHIEVE lors de notre événement inaugural », a déclaré Andrea Carey, directrice des Jeux. « À travers les Jeux, nous nous efforçons de soutenir nos partenaires sportifs en réduisant les coûts et les obstacles liés à l’organisation de leurs événements, et de sensibiliser le public aux sports pour personnes handicapées grâce à ces jeux annuels multisports, multihandicaps et multigénérationnels. »
Les championnats se dérouleront à l’école secondaire J.N. Burnett de Richmond et réuniront des équipes masculines et féminines de tout le Canada.
