Welcome Louise, recently hired Director of Domestic Programs!

Dear Canadian Blind Sports Community, Friends and Supporters:

Canadian Blind Sports is very pleased to welcome Louise Gaborieau [pronounced Gaboreo) to the role of Director of Domestic Programs. Louise has worked in sport and community programs for several years in British Columbia. Louise has a Bachelor of Education with a major in Physical Education and has taught across Canada and overseas in both French and English.

Louise is passionate about physical literacy for children and developing sport programming to ensure that all children have the opportunity to participate. Louise is familiar to the Canadian Blind Sports Community as she worked for us in Curriculum Development in 2012 and created the popular “Get Active Goalball” resources which can be found on the Canadian Blind Sports website.

Her role includes Domestic programs from participation through National Championships as outlined in our strategic and operational plans. Louise looks forward to working with our members and partners in developing and evaluating our participation and domestic initiatives, implementing and refining CBSA’s Long Term Athlete, Coach and Officials development pathways, and working to facilitate the development of our coaching and instructional resources.
